Description

The NEON experiment is dedicated to the observation of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) using NaI(Tl) detectors near the Hanbit nuclear reactor. The experiment has collected extensive reactor-on and reactor-off data to study CEvNS signals and optimize background modeling. Deep learning techniques based on ResNet-CNN are being developed to enhance CEvNS signal identification and classification. Recently, the NEON collaboration has initiated a search for incoherent neutrino-nucleus scattering (IvNS) as an extension of its physics program. This presentation provides an overview of the NEON experiment, recent results, improvements in analysis techniques using deep learning, and new research directions.
