Description
In this study, we developed a novel liquid scintillator using acetone as the base solvent and examined its physical and optical properties. We explored the optimal mixing ratios of acetone, water, and fluors for the scintillator composition. Additionally, we conducted gamma and neutron discrimination analysis by incorporating enriched 6Li, known for its high neutron capture cross section. Unlike previous experiments, our approach to loading 6Li did not require strong hydrochloric acid or surfactants.
