Description

The NEON experiment aims to detect coherent elastic neutrino–nucleus scattering (CEvNS) induced by reactor electron antineutrinos using a 16.5 kg NaI(Tl) detector. The detector is installed at a distance of 23.7 m from the Hanbit Unit-6 reactor core in Yeonggwang, South Korea. Data taking began in April 2022, and stable operations have accumulated 905.7 days of reactor-on data and 303.6 days of reactor-off data. The NaI(Tl) detector has an average light yield of 23.7 photoelectrons per keV, enabling low-energy analyses in the sub-keV region. This presentation describes the data analysis techniques, including deep learning based event selection, along with the latest status of the CEvNS analysis.
